Mine Superintendent

Position Description:

• Supervises the activities of assigned Maintenance personnel. Performs supervisory functions and exercises financial authority at the department head level as established by Management.
• Coordinates the scheduling of all maintenance activities for the Mine. Includes re-scheduling backlogs, setting lead times to meet deadlines, and adjusting schedules to meet operational needs. Develops and adheres to preventative maintenance schedules. Ensures that maintenance requirements complement operational requirements.
• Monitors maintenance costs against budget and provides commentary against variances as required.
• Produces daily and monthly maintenance reports for management information and action.
• Supervises the department’s implementation of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) programs. Attends and provides input to strategy and policy development and review meetings; ensures that the promotion of the company’s policies and procedures in the Maintenance department is effective and monitors activities to ensure compliance. Participates in Incident Response and Command activities, reviews and comments on incident reports and carries out independent investigations of all accidents and near misses involving own staff or facilities.
• Ensures that all contractors/consultants are fully briefed on the Company’s HSE regulations and signs accordingly during contract signing. Provides independent advice and comments on HSE issues to improve Company programs.
• Supervises and participates in the training of Saudi nationals assigned to his department.
• Performs other similar or related duties such as researching new and improved methods or equipment for mine maintenance, preparing annual operating and capital maintenance budget, preparing mechanical and civil engineering designs, administering damage and loss insurance claims, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:
• BSc. in Mining / Mechanical.

Experience:
• 10 years’ mining maintenance experience, including supervisory experience.

Language:
• Proficient in oral and written English.

Senior Planning Engineer

Position Description:

• Carries out all designs of optimum pits to ensure extraction of ore with minimum operation cost and strip ratio.
• Prepares bench plans and ore haulage using SURPAC and AutoCAD software.
• Prepares daily, monthly and yearly production schedules with close liaisons with geology and plant departments to supply reliable and practical production plans.
• Develops yearly production schedule and operation requirements for budget estimates.
• Carries out detailed cost analysis for all mining activities correlated with similar international mining operation to provide the mine management with all required measurements to minimize the operation costs.
• Conducts regular and routine statistical and economic analysis concerning production and operations, which reflect the actual performance of the mine.
• Supervises the daily performance of the mine contractor to ensure safety operation and required ore production.
• Analysis and maintains an accurate database of mineral distribution on bench basis to direct operation to provide the crusher with required grade and tonnage.
• Reviews and discusses the available geological and technical data to update the pit designs.
• Prepares required spreadsheets with mine data and statistics and cost information using the SURPAC design and evaluation software.
• Prepares a variety of monthly reports on operation and production in standard manner to reflect the actual mine operation performance.
• Carries out pit designs and economic analysis to the satellite prospects with the available data to outline their potentiality.
• Supervises the implementation of the company safety and environmental rule and policies by the mine and the urine contractor employees to ensure overall safe operation.

• BSc. in Mining / Mechanical

Experience:
• 10 years experience in Open Pit Designs and operation.

Language:
• Proficient in oral and written English.

OHSE Superintendent

Position Description:

• The OHSE superintendent is responsible for coordinating and providing oversight on all environmental and occupational health matters from MGBM. This includes providing technical support and advice to senior management and development and implanting environmental and occupational health program for all affiliates.
Experience in Mining Process & Underground Mining.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:
• BSc. in Mining / Safety / Mechanical.

Experience:
• 8 – 10 years in safety supervision, safety system in mine and processing plants, smelters and refineries.

Language:
• Proficient in oral and written English.

Process Metallurgist

Position Description:

• Adhere to EHS rules & regulations and ensure Safe Working Instructions (SWIs) and Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
• Provide technical leadership in the use of process management methodologies to ensure that manufacturing processes are statistically ‘In-control and capable’ with respect to critical process variables.
• Ensure that process management is built into the ISO9001 Quality Management System.
• Detailed understanding of 3XXX, 5XXX and 6XXX aluminum alloy metallurgy and manufacturing processes for beverage can and automotive sheet applications.
• An understanding of the link between process variables and product attributes such as thickness, strength and formability.
• Practical experience in the use of investigative tools for problem solving such as metallography, electron-microscopy, mechanical & chemical testing, etc.
• Proven ability in the translation of customer needs, such as product improvements, into alloy and process development.
• Reinforce a culture of continuous improvement (Kaizen). This includes applying continuous improvement methodologies such as ‘Six Sigma’ as the key tools in minimizing product and process variability and meeting customer’s expectations. Knowledge and practical experience of the application of ‘six-sigma’ methodologies for continuous improvement would be a plus.
• Statistical analysis of data and the writing of detailed technical reports.
• Use the corrective and preventative action process to ensure follow up and correction of deficiencies found in the manufacturing process.

• BSc. in Metallurgy / Mechanical .

• 5 – 10 years experience.

Technical Manager

Position Description:

• Varied and extensive process operation and technical experience, including an indepth knowledge of Casthouse processes and a demonstrated understanding and use of basic and advanced statistical process control and designed experiment methods.
• The incumbent is required to have strong abilities and solid exprience in managing people, and if possible varied and extensive process operation and technical experience.
• Maintain and review the specifications of allow materials and other consumer products that need a Casthouse specification.
• Demonstrated ability in achieving results and driving change is required. The position requires strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Direct control and motivate the work force to achieve high skill and maximum manpower efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:
• BSc. in Chemical / Metallurgical / Mechanical.

Experience:
• Minimum of 10 yrs relevant experience as a Process Engineer or a Technical Expert.

Maintenance Manager

Position Description:

• This position requires solid understanding of Maintenance and Reliability processes and systems as well as a good understanding of Primary Metals processes and systems.
• Strong demonstration ability in providing leadership, achieving results and driving change.

Automation Engineer

Position Description:

• Must possess a clear understand of the safety consideration required for automation engineers, working with molten metal control systems.
• Must possess a clear and demonstrate understanding of Rockwell Automation Contrologix PLC Platform.
• Must possess a clear and demonstrable understanding of Rockwell Automation Factory Talk view SE and ME applications.
• Must possess a clear understand of the Safety consideration required for Automation engineers working on Metal Control systems.

Maintenance Supervisor

Position Description:

• The incumbent must direct and coordinate a team of highly skilled maintenance mechanics, electricians and instrument technicians to ensure all plant equipment is maintained and operating efficiently.
• The plant operates 365 days per year which requires extensive planning, organization and effective delegation and communication to subordinates to meet established production goals.
• Provide on call coverage for all assets. The position has extensive problem solving requirements associated with maintenance of large and sophisticated mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment, including electrical substation.
• The incumbent must have highly developed human relation skills to direct and motivate subordinates and in addressing the competing and conflicting demands for maintenance services.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:
• Diploma in Mechanical / Mining / Metallurgy.

Experience:
• 5 – 7 years of relevant industry experience

Language:

Manager - Industrial System Engineer

Position Description:

• Manage all Casthouse Industrial Process System (IPS) functions.
• Must have project management experience with industrial process systems.
• Must be able to provide clear leadership to IPS team to insure all programming standards.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:
• BSc. in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics

Experience:
• Minimum 10 yrs experience in Chemical or Petrochemical industry with 5 yrs of those in a Managerial role in Technicial Services.
