Lead Electrical Engineer


Minimum Requirements:

Degree in Electrical engineering; Chartered engineer; Member of CIBSE or IET

Minimum 10 years experience working in design of Public transportation systems including underground railway stations, high speed railway stations and depot facilities; Experience of mechanical and electrical design software; Understanding of British, American and International design standards; Good level of computer literacy in Windows and other Microsoft products

Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; Good report writing skills; Experience of making presentations to clients is essential; Must have good MEP services coordination skills


Duties Performed

Technical lead across a number of MEP teams, from concept design through to construction issue and site supervision; Set standards for mechanical or electrical design; Ensure that all design teams follow the required standards.

Lead and supervise design of mechanical or electrical services; Supervise and manage design calculations on transportation projects; Supervise design according to local rules, regulations and design guides; Supervise design to British, American and/or International design standards as required by the project; Preparing technical specifications and reports; Attend meetings

Supervise engineers and CAD operators in all project related matters; Responsible for QA and the checking of all design work carried out prior to formal issue; Coordinate with Architects, Structural Engineers and other MEP disciplines; Supervision of site surveys and inspections
