We are currently looking for an experienced MEP Senior Contract Administrator to join our team currently working on an international airport in Saudi Arabia. The suitable candidate would be responsible for managing major mechanical and electrical packages on this high profile scheme. Minimum Requirements:
Followed a reasonably structured career path, with 10 years post qualification experience
Degree in Quantity Surveying
Worked for a recognized blue chip major main contractor or recognized international sub contractor
Experience of managing large mechanical and electrical packages
Post contract experience
Followed a reasonably structured career path, with 10 years post qualification experience
Outstanding communication skills in written and spoken English and be capable of advising the company on commercial issues
Must be able to work both independently with a proactive approach and collaboratively as part of a multi-national team
Advising the Client on cost and contract matters generally including estimates of the cost on proposed Variation Orders
Professional Memberships or part qualified: RICS
You should have over 10 years’ experience managing projects and be client-facing
Local knowledge is beneficial, Middle east preferred and as such all candidates will preferably have recent local experience
Duties Performed
Advising the Client on cost and contract matters
Ensuring that each Contract Administrator runs his or her section to the highest professional standards, that all information is current, and that every member of the team is receiving the information he or she needs to fulfil their responsibilities.
Submission of Payments Applications and Certificate of Payments.
Submission of records of all sub contractors agreement and payments.
Submission of the Cost Report and Cash Flow forecast.
Manage and co-ordinate the variation order approval process, liaise with members of the Project Team for confirmation and will issue a schedule of costs related to modifications or variations to the Client.
Submission of Final Accounts submitted by the Sub Contractors and Suppliers, adjusting as necessary and providing recommendations to the Contractor
Monitor engineering design progress, material and equipment procurement and construction and commissioning status with respect to commercial impacts on the project
Coordinate with the Contractor and the Project Team to ensure that all progress payments are in accordance to approved procedures.
Assist in the defence / approval of any claim for cost variations or major change to the design.
Coordinate with Contracts Manager on all aspects of the work.
Coordinating and managing individual Contract Administrators.
Participate with the project management team, as directed by the Senior Contracts Manager to achieve project deliverables.
