Minimum Requirements:
B. Sc in Chemical Engineering.
6 years practical experience in process engineering work, with special emphasis on utilities technology and energy conservation.
Good knowledge of English.
Computer literate.
Responsibilities:
Monitors plant performance, provides technical service to other divisions on a regular basis. Includes identifying problems and submitting reports with recommendations for a reliable and safe solution to supervisor for review.
Provides a problem solving service for long term complex difficulties or potential problems. Includes studies related to process problems initiated by himself, his superior or Production Division, preparing test programmes or capacity checks, analysing results and submitting recommendations for solutions and preparing technical files note or making presentations of this findings and conclusions to parties concerned. May be assigned one or more Engineers to work with him on a project. Carries out energy conservation and thermal efficiency audits. Carries out utilities heat and material balances.
Provides a process design service for modifications and new equipment, reviews proposed modifications and recommends approval or alternations. Carries out rigorous process engineering checks ensuring that design standards are being maintained and technical safety requirements are met.
Acts as a reference source to other Divisions. Liaison with Production and Plant Maintenance and Engineering Divisions, furnish them with technical information as requested, suggesting improvement in their field of work and assisting in developing improvements initiated by them.
Review routine test and analysis results from laboratory, identifies and analyse deviations and unusual trends, interprets reasons in terms of production and submits conclusive report to supervisor.
Assists in the on-the-job training of Process Engineers under development.
Utilise simulation programmes to analyse complex process plants operation.
Carries out other related or similar duties as assigned such as maintaining LNG plant data and utilities historical records. Prepare weekly / monthly reports on his activities.
