JD – Quantity Surveyor


Minimum Requirements:

The Quantity Surveyor will be a qualified professional who must have a minimum qualification of BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent in Quantity Surveying. The Quantity Surveyor should have more than 10 years experience with 5 being similar to this project/role, regional experience is preferred. Experience in claims/arbitration procedures and methods are required.

Experience in the planning of major projects with particular emphasis on the utilization of computer programs such as Primavera or equally capable program for the planning and tracking of similar projects is a requirement. This person will also provide assistance to the team during negotiations, arbitration, or any other forms of dispute resolution. Computer literacy and excellent communication skills are essential.

The Quantity Surveyor should have demonstrable evidence of working as a Quantity Surveyor on various project and in particular residential and hospitality projects, ability to develop and work as part of a team, experience of client liaison, development and management; innovative and proactive skills, ability to solve problems, a recognized Professional qualification and Driving license.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing company`s reputation with our clients and developing effective long term client relationships thus identifying and developing new opportunities for the Group.


Qualifications:

Experience in providing Pre and Post Contract Cost Management services to the various industry sectors

Experience in delivering Pre and Post Contract Cost Management services internationally with a minimum of 4 years experience in this role

Ability to contribute to the development of our long term strategic relationship with our key client and improve our ability to win repeat commissions

Understanding of client’s core objectives and managing all Pre and Post Contract facets of a project to ensure a successful delivery

Ability to work as part of a team of dynamic individuals and possess excellent communication skills Requirements


Duties Performed

Report to the SQS.

Assist in certifying the works carried out by the contractor and as directed by the SQS.

Maintain and control the measurement filing system including the logging and filing of the RFI system.

Assist in valuation of variation orders, preparation of site instructions and evaluation of the Contractor’s Claims.

Checking of the Contractor’s interim monthly payment certificates.

Provision of Pre and Post Contract cost management service for key client on-going projects.

Co-ordinate and work with the wider business.

Develop new business and repeat business from existing key clients.

Retain and own close contact with client individuals.
