Minimum Requirements:
We are currently looking for a degree qualified Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience to join our team in Qatar.
Degree in Electrical engineering. Chartered engineer. Member of CIBSE or IET. Minimum 10 years experience working in design of Public transportation systems including underground railway stations, high speed railway stations and depot facilities. Experience of mechanical and electrical design software
Understanding of British, American and International design standards. Good level of computer literacy in Windows and other Microsoft products. Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. Good report writing skills. Experience of making presentations to clients is essential. Must have good MEP services coordination skills.
Duties Performed
Technical lead across a number of MEP teams, from concept design through to construction issue and site supervision. Set standards for mechanical or electrical design. Ensure that all design teams follow the required standards. Lead and supervise design of mechanical or electrical services
Supervise and manage design calculations on transportation projects. Supervise design according to local rules, regulations and design guides. Supervise design to British, American and/or International design standards as required by the project. Preparing technical specifications and reports. Attend meetings
Supervise engineers and CAD operators in all project related matters. Responsible for QA and the checking of all design work carried out prior to formal issue. Coordinate with Architects, Structural Engineers and other MEP disciplines. Supervision of site surveys and inspections.
